How About Swift Language?

Let's make some macOS apps!

swift

Out of curiosity and because I wanna explore something new and also because of having a thought "what's the point of having a macbook if I don't build any iOS app!" got myself into this.

Having a relationship with JavaScript is a never ending one. Learning JS takes a significant amount of time. And mastering it takes dedication. When you’re constantly growing as a web developer, you have to focus on it with your best. It might feel like you have less time than you need.

That being said, sometimes it’s good to have some change of air. It’s good for health. For long time, I always thought about iOS development. But never really got into the boat. Suddenly a thought came into my mind that let’s use the upcoming holiday as a Swift learning holiday. I can tell you thousands of reasons about the pros of learning swift but you need none actually. If you thing you can give a swing, then give it a swing!

And it’s always good to tell people, that you have some apps built for iOS/macOS :D

Anyways, then I started digging around for beginner stuffs. Found that the documentation provided by Apple is more than enough to get you started and their documentation is actually very useful.

Installed X-Code for the first time and ran a Hello, World! program for the first time. I don’t know how lone I’ll be able to keep this interest ongoing for learning Swift, but felt real good to see my Hello, world! app running through an iPhone emulator :D

Till now Swift seems like a cousin of C language but easier to understand and code. As my first language was C when I started my engineering, Swift seems pretty easy to understand right at this point.

But running a basic hello world app and coding a real complex app is totally different thing and looking forward for a productive holiday ahead.
